During the pandemic Adam took the difficult decision to step back from a full time Assistant Manager role at a hotel and was recruited by Intec’s Apprenticeship Recruitment Service to join SCS as an apprentice at the time.
The role meant that alongside working, Adam was able to undertake a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Since the very start he has excelled on his programme. His Tutor, Yvonne Adams, comments: ‘Adam saw the value in the opportunities an apprenticeship brings.
“He has been so proactive in working towards his EPA and his work is completed to a great standard. It’s been fantastic to see him apply the skills he’s learnt to manage a large improvement project, which has delivered cost savings to the business and ensured excellent customer service.’
Starting a new job is intimidating and as he has grown into the role the effect on Adam’s confidence has been evident.
Adam’s Team Manager, Marc, agrees: ‘When Adam first started with us, we could see great potential in him. Despite the initial nervousness, joining an already established team with strong personalities, he soon came into his own to become the Adam we know and rely upon today’.
