Nicholas, who works at The UK Holiday Group, is currently studying his  Marketing Apprenticeship Level 3 with Heart of England Training. Nicholas told us that he chose to study a Marketing Apprenticeship because he felt it would be beneficial to gain experience within the workplace.

“Marketing particularly appealed to me because I think I will gain the right skills that will help me work towards my career goal”

The Marketing Apprenticeship Level 3 Standard is a nationally recognised route to a wide variety of office professions.

The Marketing Apprenticeship Level 3

Marketing positions are found  in every sector and industry across commercial, public sector and not-for-profit organisations. The purpose of the Marketing Apprenticeship role is to support customer-focused marketing activities that drive the demand for a product or service. To achieve this you will gain skills such as awareness-raising and perception-building to generate results.

As part of the marketing team, the Marketing Apprentice will…

  • contribute to the implementation of the Marketing strategy and plans with the focus on promoting their business
  • delivering the day-to-day marketing activities across a multiple of platforms, channels and systems.

Heart of England Training Experience

Nicholas continued on to give us an insight as to what studying his Marketing Apprenticeship with HOET has been like for him. Nicholas says: “Everyone from HOET is doing an  amazing to help me through my apprenticeship. Especially my educator, Liam, has been extremely helpful throughout my apprenticeship so far.”

“We meet 3-weekly, and I find every session beneficial. Liam is very knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile to ensure that I feel supported.”

Nicholas also added in some more details about the benefits that his Marketing Apprenticeship has had to his role so far. Such as his newly learnt knowledge being applicable to his day-to-day role. He said he finds it rewarding to be able to see the progress that he has made so far, and how far he has come since starting.

“Apprenticeships are a great way to earn whilst you learn! They are also a good way to get a taste of the working life. However, if you are thinking about transitioning from formal education, take into consideration that your days may be significantly longer, but its a very exciting change to go through.”

Educator Feedback

Nicholas’s educator, Liam Fox, has left some lovely feedback about the journey that he has been on with Nick.

“Nick has been nothing short of a pleasure. He has good work ethic, an inquisitive nature, and his ability to go the extra mile! Nick is passionate and driven and I know that he will milk this apprenticeship for it all it has. He will go places!”

Nicholas then finished off with some more wonderful words about Heart of England training.

“I would, without a doubt, definitely recommend an apprenticeship with HOET. They have been great supporting me through my apprenticeship, I would recommend to anyone who is considering an apprenticeship.”
