Beginning a new apprenticeship can be both an exciting and overwhelming experience. For Daisy, who recently joined Direct Air as a Business Administration apprentice, the journey has been filled with learning opportunities and a warm welcome. Just over a week into her role, Daisy is already feeling confident in navigating her new work environment. In this article, she shares her initial thoughts on her apprenticeship and the support she has received from both Direct Air and the Chamber Training.

About Direct Air

Direct Air, a leading provider of compressed air systems in the UK, is known for its commitment to supporting employee development through education and training. The company specialises in providing customized solutions across a wide range of industries, from design to installation and maintenance. Direct Air’s emphasis on fostering talent is demonstrated through their apprenticeship programs, which offer a comprehensive and hands-on approach to learning, allowing individuals like Daisy to thrive.

Daisy’s Early Experience at Direct Air

“From being at Direct Air for just over a week now, I feel as though I have familiarized myself with the company, as well as the people, and have been able to navigate myself around quite easily,” Daisy explains. Her initial impressions have been overwhelmingly positive, with a focus on how supportive both Direct Air and the Chamber of Commerce have been in her early days.

Daisy highlights the encouragement she has received from both sides, which has helped her adapt to her new role while continuously expanding her knowledge of business. “Everyone is very supportive, both people from the Chamber and Direct Air, are increasingly encouraging towards my ever-growing learning of business,” she notes.

The hands-on nature of her apprenticeship has made a significant impact already. Daisy appreciates how the skills she is acquiring in the classroom at the Chamber are directly applicable in the workplace. “I am constantly learning on the job, as well as the skills I learn at the Chamber that I can instantaneously use in the work environment,” she shares.
