The Apprenticeship Ladder for Coventry & Warwickshire, a partnership between training providers and employers, is in place to support individuals to access high quality apprenticeships to develop valuable skills and rewarding careers. Working together, we are improving skills and employment opportunities across Coventry and Warwickshire to enable the economy to thrive and be a great place to live and work.
Launched in 2022, the Ladder for Coventry & Warwickshire is helping people into work, getting employers engaged with apprenticeships and providing expert support for training providers, as well as schools and colleges. It is the latest campaign to run under the ‘Ladder’ umbrella which was started in London in 2012 and has since seen similar successful apprenticeship campaigns across the wider West Midlands, with Coventry and Warwickshire being the most recent addition.
In association with the Ladder Apprenticeship Foundation, Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Training, Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership and Coventry and Warwickshire Careers Hubs the Ladder partnership is spearheading the drive to increase the take-up of apprenticeships across the area. It is bringing together employers with apprentices of all ages seeking to kick start their careers and gain new skills and knowledge.
The Apprenticeship Ladder leverages various social platforms to showcase significant apprenticeship updates and success stories. In addition, a monthly E-newsletter is sent out to inform training providers. Earlier this year, the Coventry and Warwickshire Apprenticeship Ladder website was launched to be a valuable resource for a wide audience, involving prospective apprentices, employers, partners, and training providers. The website features a news section aimed at spotlighting positive stories and updates related to apprenticeships.
