Unfortunately, Amy did not become a finalist for the awards, but she was happy to answer questions following her nomination.
Amy became an apprentice with Heart of England Training, and is now coming towards the end of her qualification. She decided to do an apprenticeship to extend her skills whilst in a Marketing role, being able to learn alongside working at the organisation.
“It has been great to do and I feel as though it has benefitted me massively within my role in the workplace.”
“Working alongside studying has definitely helped” she added “I have been able to put everything I learn into action, making it easier to make sense of everything”.
Amy has felt her time with Heart of England Training as been ‘amazing’ and would love to develop her skills further, she felt encouraged and supported throughout her entire qualification.
As for The National Apprenticeship Awards, Amy was delighted hearing about the nomination.
“It was a great feeling to know that my hard work had been recognised by HOET, and that they felt I was worthy enough to be put forward for the award”.
When asked what advice she would give to someone considering to do an apprenticeship, Amy said “just go for it!”
“…And make sure you have time dedicated to doing your work so that you don’t fall behind!”.
